It looks like Britney Spears will be performing at the VMA’s this Sunday, not just presenting. It was reported she was auditioning dancers and rehearsing in studio spaces over the past few weeks.
Even though it’s not known for sure, this video of her rehearsing sure sparked some major assumptions. I mean why would she be working it out like this if she was just a presenter, right?!

Cameron Diaz is the cover girl for the October 2008 edition of InStyle Magazine. The pictures from the photo shoot are beautiful. In the article she talks about her body, dating, men and her future.
On her body: “I know I have what a 25 year old has, but she doesn’t have what I have. My boobs and butt aren’t doing too bad either, know what I mean?”
On her future: “Am I going to have a baby? Who knows? I don’t. I’m not going to live my life looking just for that.”

Lindsay Lohan turned down Playboy’s $700,000 offer to pose for their magazine. The deal would have included an eight page topless spread in the magazine’s 55th anniversary issue which hits shelves next January.
Lohan’s rep says, “If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no. She’s not going down the [New York] magazine road again.”
Playboy’s creative consultant, Hal Lifson, had the idea for Lindsay to do a tribute to Ann Margaret and her film Kitten With a Whip. Even though the film is one of Lohan’s favorites, it just wasn’t enough to convince her.
Thank goodness! Personally, I think they can find someone MUCH better.
It is said that Mary-Kate Olsen cheated on her boyfriend Nate Lowman with tubby funnyman, Jonah Hill. The odd couple hooked up at the Chatuea Marmont on August 26.
“It was a shock to see Mary-Kate together with, of all people, geeky Jonah,” an eyewitness says. “They were on a double date with another couple, dining at the hotel around 10 p.m. Mary-Kate and Jonah sat close together and seemed totally into each other. They were both wearing plaid shirts that almost matched. It was the cutest thing.”
“From what I saw at the Chateau Marmont,” said another source, “Mary-Kate had forgotten about Nate and seemed totally enamored of Jonah. And he couldn’t keep his eyes off her, either.”
Even though I think Jonah is extremely funny, I don’t know about all this. Seems kind of unlikely to me.
Shia LaBeouf might still be recovering from a crushed hand, but the actor was all business as he shot scenes for the upcoming blockbuster Transformers 2.
No details are known about the particular scenes the 22-year-old shot, but it’s probably safe to say he didn’t do any of his own stunts just yet.
Look for Shia at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. He was added as a presenter today alongside Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson and the gang from The Hills.
The Jonas Brothers are prepping for their Disney Channel original series after the success of their TV movie Camp Rock.
“It’s going to be about us as a band but dealing with normal things like trying to take out the trash and not get hounded by fans,” Joe Jonas tells ELLE girl magazine about the as-yet untitled series. “It’s going to be a funny show, and it’s going to be a great cast.”
The trio just released their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, and will start production on the new series in September after their tour. The boys say that the series will be sort of like HBO’s Flight of the Conchords.
After his cameo in the summer blockbuster Tropic Thunder, it’s rumored Tom Cruise will be doing something a little more family friendly.
Tom Cruise is being considered to voice one of the villains in Shrek Goes Fourth. The sequel is due out in 2010 and this time it’s being directed by Mike Mitchell, who is rumored to be something of a Tom Cruise fan. He also has a history of working with high-profile Scientologists. In 2005 he directed Kelly Preston in Sky High.
All that’s really known about Shrek Goes Fourth is it’s supposed to explain where Shrek came from and how he got to his beloved swap.
Two posters for the 2008 film Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie, have been banned by Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority.
After the public interest group recieved seventeen complaints from citizens that were taken aback by the promotional posters featuring a gun-toting Angie, the authority claims the ads glamorize gun violence.
“We considered, that because the ads featured a glamorous actress, action poses, several images of or related to guns and aspirational text, they could be seen to glamorize the use of guns and violence.”
Most everyone knows Britney Spears will be opening this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and now we are all finding out Kanye West will be the one closing the event.

Whitney Port is taking The Hills to NYC with her new MTV unscripted series which began shooting on August 27.
The 23-year-old reality star started filming her own show after leaving her gig with People’s Revolution and starting a new career with legendary designer Diane Von Furstenberg.
They are hoping for some new drama between Whit and frenemy Samantha “Sami” Swetra, who is scheduled to co-star on the show.
